CMA Winners and some thoughts

Here's a look at who was honored at this year's CMA Awards,

A list of the winners from the 40th annual Country Music Awards held in Nashville on Monday November 6th.

Entertainer of the Year: Kenny Chesney - a make up from last year when Keith Urban won this award and many thought Kenny was robbed. This year I think Rascall Flatts was robbed.

Male Vocalist: Keith Urban - a deserving winner, but you have to wonder when Brad Paisley will finally win in this category.

Female Vocalist: Carrie Underwood - absolutely the best female singer of the year

Horizon Award: Carrie Underwood - see above

Album: "Time Well Wasted," Brad Paisley. - great album, great choice

Single: "Believe," Brooks & Dunn - inspiring song with a vocal performance by Ronnie Dunn that seperated it from the competition.

Song: "Believe," Craig Wiseman and Ronnie Dunn - this award goes to the songwriters and the words are powerful

Vocal Group: Rascal Flatts - a no brainer, with a hit tour, singles, album, and movie theme - they deserved even higher accolades.

Vocal Duo: Brooks & Dunn - how about we present this award before the show - it's been the same result for a while now.

Musical Event: "When I Get Where I'm Going," Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton - "Believe" stole the thunder that this song would have won any other year, so it's a good thing it won here.

Music Video: "Believe," Brooks & Dunn - surprising to me, the song is great, but the video didn't really contribute to its success.
